Prioritise your health and sexual happiness

Throughout our lives, as women, we go through hormonal changes and childbirth which can lead to changes in the structure and tightness of our vaginas. The results of this can impact our self-confidence as well as our sexual desire and enjoyment.

It can be almost impossible to get help on the NHS for many of the common female issues. Sadly, as a result of this, many women believe that poor bladder control, pelvic floor weakness, loss of tone and tightness in the vagina and sexual discomfort are just things they have to live with.

I'm delighted to be able to offer a solution to women in and around Suffolk with my discrete and professional feminine health clinic. It is a safe space providing access to a range of non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments designed to boost your body confidence, sexual desire and enjoyment and generally improve your quality of life.

I have always wanted to be in a position to offer my clients this service after seeing the emotional and physical distress that many women suffer, often in silence, during my NHS nursing career.

Vaginal tissue is just like any other type of skin tissue, in that it’s supported by collagen, which keeps it strong and supple. Menopause, stress and childbirth can weaken the collagen fibres. Along with a loss of pleasure during sexual intercourse, this loss of tightness can lead to dryness and even incontinence - our range of treatments are designed to provide non-surgical solutions with no downtime for women to take back control of their health and happiness in a professional yet relaxing and discrete setting.

All feminine health clinics are chaperoned by myself, ensuring you are happy and comfortable at all times.

What problems can vaginal rejuvenation help with?

  • Loss of muscle strength, tone, and elasticity in vaginal area

  • Loss of sensation during intercourse

  • Urinary incontinence

  • Vaginal dryness

Advantages of non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation

  • No surgery is required

  • It’s pain-free so no anaesthetic is needed

  • It’s safe and there are no side-effects

  • It only takes 30 minutes maximum

  • The results are noticeable straight away

  • Effects can last up to two years

  • There’s no down time afterwards

What does vaginal rejuvenation involve?

Vaginal rejuvenation is a non-invasive, non-surgical aesthetic treatment that involves HIFU (High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound). Unlike surgical treatments like vaginoplasty there are no side effects and no down time, and a treatment takes just 20-30 minutes.

How does it work?

The ultrasound device treats the problem using HIFU which gently stimulates the production of collagen within the vaginal walls. This has two main effects; it helps to tighten and tone the area treated, improving elasticity, and can also improve moisture levels, which helps to reduce the itching, dryness and burning that can be a result of the hormonal changes in menopause. Another result can be that it makes intercourse more comfortable and enjoyable.

Is vaginal rejuvenation suitable for me?

Although the treatment is perfectly safe, as with all aesthetic treatments, there are things to be aware of and it might not be suitable for everybody.

• The treatment is suitable for women over the age of 30.

• It is suitable for women with a BMI of 35 and under

• It’s not advised for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• You should wait at least three months after a normal childbirth before booking a treatment.

• You will need to have had a normal cervical smear result in the last three years.

• Treatments can’t be carried out during your period (or any other bleeding)

• The treatment is not suitable for women who have a copper IUD inserted.

• Treatments can’t be carried out on women with a history of genital cancer.

Before a treatment

Before your treatment Dr. Gendy will carry out a thorough consultation which costs £150, and because of the sensitive area we’ll be treating, you’ll need to have a urine test and a vaginal swab to check for infections prior to treatment. The cost of the consultation will be redeemable against any treatment that is progressed,

What happens during treatment?

The procedure is pain-free and is carried out using a HIFU which is gently inserted into the vagina. The ultrasound energy stimulates the vaginal walls and activates the natural collagen, which also helps to restore appropriate moisture levels.

The treatment should take 20-30 minutes to carry out, and you might feel a slight warming sensation, but you should not feel uncomfortable. I’ll be there in the treatment room with you for the duration of your appointment, and if you have any worries or questions, just ask.

Are there any side effects?

HIFU Ultrasound energy has been safely used in the medical field for over 50 years.

There shouldn’t be any side effects after a vaginal rejuvenation treatment. You can go back to work straight afterwards, and there is no recovery time needed.

Aftercare following vaginal rejuvenation treatment

  • Sexual intercourse should be avoided for four weeks after a treatment.

  • Bathing and swimming should be avoided for a week.

  • Avoid lifting heavy items for a month after the treatment.

  • Don’t use tampons for a month after the treatment.

What's the first step?

The first step will be to book your consultation to discuss your health, your areas of concern and the most suitable treatment option(s) for you. This consultation costs £150 and is no obligation and a vital part of any professional feminine health clinic service to ensure you get the most out of your treatment(s). Your consultation will be here at Crystal Rose with myself and Dr Gendy and will be a relaxed discussion. The cost of this consultation will be redeemable against any treatment.
